Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES/MANDATORY TASKS

· Understanding of customer requirements and translating them to a product. ( Cable Assembly Design )

· Cost estimations for the cable assemblies in terms of material and Manpower.

· Material planning for Production

· Initiate Procurement request for required materials in time

· Reduce Quality cost

· Allocation of Manpower and control

· Define and Control of Process and procedures

· Good judgment in resolving issues; proactively seek solutions to upcoming issues and offer insights and ideas for new, more efficient ways to complete tasks

· Calibration of tools testers and gauges and maintenance of machineries

· Up keep of Shop floor

· Ensure Updated documents are available

· Coordinate with R & D , assembly shop , and QC as required

· Training of personnel

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

· Cable assembly design knowledge

· Through Knowledge of completion/materials/quality vendors

· Thorough knowledge of materials and consumables

· Computer literate with exposure to design/engineering tools

· Knowledge manufacturing and assembly processes

· Estimation of Work and cost judiciously

· Knowledge of testing procedures

· Handling men , materials and Control

· Good Communication and decision making

· Knowledge of special processes like , soldering, crimping , and testing of cables

· Must be multi-tasking and be able to simultaneously manage multiple projects

· Willing to take ownership of projects, back fill other positions, and drive projects through completion.

· Strong Analytical skills

· Inter departmental coordination

· Positive outlook

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

· A bachelors' degree or equivalent or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics

· ERP and MS Office knowledge preferred

· Minimum of 7-8 years in assembly shops in charge in a company with proven results

· Handling of Production of new Projects

· Knowledge of Special processes
