Job Description

Designation : Circuit Design and Analysis Engineer
Location : Bangalore
Job Description :
To produce an accurate set of vehicle circuits, with the correct wire attributes and connector pin outs in time for release and incorporation into the harnesses, using VeSys & EDS Enterprise CAD tools. Reviewing component DT's and applying circuit design rules to deliver a quality design. Run circuit audits to validate information supplied and perform circuit analysis techniques for DC characteristic (Short circuit/Voltdrop) also fusing & grounding architecture, and involved in resolving system issues, using design rule checking and SDS's. Create physical test plans and release schematics for downstream testing and validation.

Basic Responsibilities:
• Strong communication skills; able to communicate complex circuit technical concepts, and feedback to a wider audience
• Proven project and time management skills and able to work to a high standard with minimum supervision.
• An ability to think "out of the box" in applying standard and proven circuit and analysis techniques
• Knowledge of EFDVS and circuit SDS requirements
• Proficient in the VeSys Circuit Design
• Proficient in the VeSys Circuit Analysis tools and techniques
• Proficient in EDS Enterprise toolsets and processes
• Clear understanding of NGCNS
• Perform and plan circuit audits
• Proficient in reviewing and applying component DT's
• Understand and apply harness topology to all wires
• Fully understand analysis of circuits including fusing principles. Sound knowledge of 1st principles (electronics)

• Drive resolution reference to circuit and analysis issues
• Raise ECR's
• Clear understanding of options and variants
• Experience and understanding of circuit design and analysis techniques
• Assign options and understand vehicle complexity
• Clear understanding of vehicle networking
• Clear understanding and application of circuit DRC's
• Add connector details to design data and understand process
• Good clear reporting techniques to support analysis
• Release of schematics to server and downstream customers
• Run deep dive reviews
• Manage circuit heath charts
• Apply terminal plating and material properites
• Create physical test plans and liase with integration
• Review understand and apply SC's and CC's
• Review description and translation codes
• Apply splice optimisation
• Understand 2D connector graphic pinouts and apply to design data
A Nice to Have
• A knowledge of Hybrid vehicle technology
• JLR Product knowledge
• Confident presentation & report-writing skills; competent use of MS Office.
• Knowledge of Market and system requirements would be beneficial
• A flexible approach to work beyond normal hours as required
• Knowledge of harness supplier manufacturing techniques
• High level of personal motivation and drive; equally able to work alone or as part of a larger mulitidisciplined
